How the F**k do we sell more sweaters? Part 1

Running documentation of how we are thinking about growing our business Oliver Charles.
It’s the week of Thanksgiving 2020, and I’m currently sitting in Jacksonville, FL. The goal of this post to exam what we are doing.
The State of the business
- Just completed our indiegogo campaign and raised ~$50k
- Still selling on Indiegogo via the indemand program.
- Running paid ads Facebook only (Black Friday sale, CAB, and Product conversion)
- An email list is ~4,000
- Instagram following is 1,440
- No on-hand inventory until February
- About $50k in the bank is mostly reserved for inventory and paid marketing.
Between Nov 1 and the end of February, we need to sell 115 sweaters or like 1 sweater a day. At this point, we have sold 11.
What we are doing at this moment
- Facebook ads: We are running FB ads. I won’t go into it in this post, but almost all the marketing dollars are spent here. We are spending a little more than 100 dollars a day. On product conversion ads, Customer Advisory Board ads, and Black Friday ads.
- High impact events: Craft fairs, popups, etc. This will work for us moderately well. The only issue being the lack of inventory… We were able to sell one sweater at a reasonably mediocre craft fair…
